![]() ![]() The 2nd slot was used for the 15A breaker powering electrical outlets (exterior & interior), and the refrigerator. The 1st is taken by the input Main 30 amp breaker, which is full width. There are 3 circuit breaker slots in the AC distribution panel. These distribution panels are not part of the converter although the term converter is often used for the entire box. The box that holds the converter also has the AC distribution with circuit breakers and the DC distribution panel with fuses. By converter, I mean the section that produces 12V DC and charges your batteries. The converter is wired to a separate breaker for the AC input to the converter. The other 15A breaker will be for the power outlets, and fridge.īlack and any other color = hot (connected to the circuit breaker terminals)Ģ. You need one breaker dedicated to connect the black lead for the converter board. and the Buss feeds the adjacent 15A breakers. Shore power 120V AC goes to the AC "in" hot/black, bottom screw on the main 30A breaker, which then feeds the Buss. The circuit breakers were same type between converters, but I bought two new 15A breakers anyways. NOTE: the converter requires a taller and narrower opening (as compared to the CS3000 converter).ġ. Replacing your power converter yourself is a helluva way to get knowledgeable on your campers electrical system! Thankfully, Google searches revealed pertinent discussions in other online RV forum threads, which yielded tips and hints, which filled in the blanks for me. I ordered the converter from The installation instructions are inadequate, even for someone with a good understanding of basic electrical. ![]() It would distribute AC & DC battery power fine, but wouldn't charge the battery, had no 12V output. It replaced the factory installed WHCO/Century CS3000 converter, which didn't (any longer convert). However, some users prefer to be able to switch into BOOST mode before their battery is heavily depleted.Just finished installing the PD4135 converter into our 2004 T2. This is normally not a problem because the internal Charge Wizard technology switches to the appropriate voltage level automatically whenever necessary. That means the charger cannot be manually switched from one voltage output level to another. *The 4060 does not include a voltage stage manual override button. If you would like to run a two-wire system with dedicated circuit ground wires, you should bring those back to a bus bar (user provided) and then ground the bus bar to chassis. That means your ground on your interior lighting and other 12v loads are designed to chassis ground rather than running dedicated ground wires back to the fuses directly. Maximum AC Distribution Circuits = 7 (1 must go to the converter)Īll DC fuse panels are designed for one-wire DC systems. We carry compatible AC breakers and DC fuses. NOTE: Breakers and 12-volt fuses are not included with the system, but are commonly available through electrical supply companies and some hardware stores. To mount it to a wall inside a cabinet you will need to build an interior mounting surface that allows air to flow behind the unit. The panel is designed to be surface mounted in a 10.75"W x 7.25"H" cutout in a cabinet face. Save money and space by creating a combination AC/DC power center with your AC breaker box, DC fuse box and power converter all pre-wired together and all in one compact box. The Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power 4045 has nearly all* the premium features of our Progressive Dynamics 9260 60 amp converter PLUS an AC breaker box for 30 amp service PLUS a DC fuse box all in one package. All major components are in one integrated, central box. A superb all-in-one system for major electrical system overhauls on trailers with 30 amp AC service.
